TACHYON has made a cooperation with ELVAN TEXTILE that is expert on the processing of polyester fibers such as curtains, tablecloths, clothing and wedding dresses.
Warm wash and bleach is sufficient, except for light color dyeings, due to the fact that the polyester fibers are fairly clean and water-soluble sizing is used. Bleaching is also unnecessary for polyester fabrics except white or light dyed fabrics. Due to the fact that there are oils originated from the process of producing polyster fibers, PLUVIA MAXIME RELAX machine is used in the pre-heat setting washing process for the removal of these oils by extraction method. As in other synthetic fibers, heat setting is used to eliminate the internal tension that occurs during stretching and obtaining polyester fiber. This is the most important step of pre-treatment process.
Pre-treatment of polyester fibers is required before dyeing or printing. This pre- treatment is washing and heat setting processes. In the washing process, oil, sizing, etc. and contaminated contaminants on the fabric are removed from the fabric. All oils on the fabric must be removed from the fabric before printing and dyeing. The heat treatments applied to the non-degreased fabrics cause the oil particles to be irreversibly fixed into the fiber. This results in undesired appearance after printing and dyeing. The heat-setting process is performed in order to ensure the dimension stability of the fabric and to protect it in the subsequent thermal and wet processes. Polyester fabric, which is untreated heat setting, is shrinking when it is heated wet or dry. Shrinking is getting more in wet heating.
